It was a great evening in which the cultural elite of New York’s Italian Americans gathered around in a festive ambient to honor some of their own for their admirable accomplishments.

This year, Joseph Petrosino, Esq. Kings County District Attorney, was given the Christopher Columbus Award, while the Italian American Community Service Award was bestowed upon Giovanni Pinto, advocate for the Italian American Communities in NY and NT, and founder of L’Italico Newspaper.

Francesco Genuardi, an unexpected visit and speech by the Mayor of New York City, Hon. Eric Adams, delighted everyone and reflected on the importance of this event for the community.

The great food choices and the wonderful music by Dominic Karcic and the Continental Sound added to the pleasantness of the evening.
