Fiorella will discuss the benefit of the Mediterranean Diet and in particular the cuisine and traditions of Southern Italy. Many recent studies confirm the anti-cancer and longevity properties of this diet. Many of the ingredients and cooking methods traditional to Italy not only incorporate but enhance the absorption of vitamins in the body. She will focus on artisanal methods of cooking and preserving foods, specific nutrients found in seasonal and regional ingredients in Italian cuisine and how to combine the ingredients for maximum absorption and health.
