ALEANDRO BALDI WITH “LA SINTONIA”, A MUSICAL CONNECTION OF EMOTIONS

Il cantautore toscano Aleandro Baldi

Aleandro Baldi’s new album, “La Sintonia,” features authentic Italian music. Some songs express feelings, sometimes with imagination, and it makes me think of these words he told me about music: “It’s the feelings of life that inspire me to make music, the songs can be about me or what surrounds me, at the base there is ‘the feeling’.” Music is an art form. What’s great about a song is that it can embrace blues, rock, and classical music. Many times, definitions are given, but the basis is always the song as something from a window that looks out at the rest of the world, constellated with various genres.”

“La Sintonia” is also those moments with the Nature, the sea invites us to look inside ourselves and to reach even distances as in the song “La goccia dell’onda”(The drop of the wave): “It’s us, only us/diving in the moments/that life gives us every day/always busy with new realities/nut hereby the sea/I feel like a drop of a wave that will live.

More time could give us other opportunities and maybe even improve us as in the song ” Un giorno in più”(A Day More): “You can say or do many things/ or nothing/ this now I do not know. A day more, but it’s not enough/ that extra day has died too quickly/ I would like to have another one/ and be able to say again Love, hello.

Also in this song, the feelings have the image of Nature with the seasons. The expectation of something beautiful, as in the song ” Come le stagioni”(As the Seasons): “How many days will we have is for us Spring will come painted in lilac”.

L’Idea Magazine: Italian music has changed from the Sixties and Seventies; what do you think?
Aleandro Baldi: It’s that Italian music is now very oriented towards American and English hits.

L’Idea Magazine: You wrote a song “From Naples to New York”, which is very beautiful and meaningful and talked about immigration from Italy to America
Aleandro Baldi: Nowhere did they have a chance; now it’s hard everywhere. By now, young Italian Americans no longer live this experience of immigration; they are fully integrated into American society.

L’Idea Magazine: What do you remember about your musical experience in America?
Aleandro Baldi: I’ve been to Los Angeles and New York, Los Angeles is a great city but it’s in a particular area; California is a quieter area. New York is chaos.

L’Idea Magazine: Are the songs you write about life experiences, or can they also be something you dreamed?
Aleandro Baldi: There can be something I dreamed about but always based on an experience that can be understood.
