I scoiattolini Cip & Ciop (Chip ‘n’ Dale) esordiscono nei cartoni animati e nei fumetti della Disney nel 1943 nel cortometraggio “Private Pluto” ma le loro caratteristiche cambiano nel cortometraggio “Chip ‘n’ Dale” del 1947 dove iniziano a fare scherzi un po’ pesanti a Paperino e a Topolino. Altri cartoni con Cip e Ciop sono: “Three for breakfast”, “Winter storage”, “All in a nutshell”, “Toy tinkers”, “Corn chips”, “Out of scale”, “Donald applecore”, “Pluto’s Christmas tree”, “Up a tree”.
Il nome Chip ‘n’ Dale deriva dal nome del mobiliere “Chippendale” dato da Bill “Tex” Henson, un’artista della Walt Disney.
I due scoiattolini vanno d’accordo ma hanno delle differenze di carattere, Cip ha una voce dai toni acuti, fa piani e prende iniziative, Ciop ha una voce profonda, è pigro, ingenuo e affabile. La loro casetta si trova all’interno di un albero vicino a Paperopoli ma qualche volta vanno in città o nella fattoria di nonna Papera.
Insieme sono un team come agenti speciali con i due topi Scheggia e Monterey Jack, i due scoiattolini si vedono sia nella loro morbida pelliccetta, sia con dei vestiti, sono innamorati della graziosa scoiattolina Clarice, un’artista della Acorn Club. Nel cartone animato “Due scoiattoli e una miss”, Cip & Ciop fanno diversi tentativi per conquistare Clarice che li considererà a pari merito.
Cip e Ciop appaiono in “Chip ‘n’ Dale Rescue Rangers” protagonisti di Disney World Quest: Magical Racing Tour, nella serie “Kingdom Hearts”, abitano nel Castello Disney. Protagonisti anche in “Mickey Mouse works” e “Mickey’s Christmas Carol” e nel film “Once upon a studio”. I due spensierati scoiattolini Cip ‘n’ Dale si trovano tra i personaggi di Disney Parks.
The chipmunks Chip ‘n’ Dale made their debut in Disney cartoons and comics in 1943 in the short film “Recruit Pluto” but their characteristics change in the short film “Chip ‘n’ Dale” of 1947 where they start playing some heavy pranks to Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse. Other cartoons with Chip and Dale are: “Three for breakfast”, “Winter storage”, “All in a nutshell”, “Toy tinkers”, “Corn chips”, “Out of scale”, “Donald applecore”, “Pluto’s Christmas tree”, “Up a tree”.
The name Chip ‘n’ Dale comes from the furniture maker’s name “Chippendale” given by Bill “Tex” Henson, a Walt Disney artist.
The two little chipmunks get along well but they have differences in character, Chip has a high-pitched voice, makes plans, and takes the initiative, Dale has a deep voice, is lazy, naive, and affable.
They have a little house inside a tree near Duckburg but sometimes they go to town or to Grandma Duck’s farm.
Together they are a team as special agents with the two mice Gadget Hackvrench, and Monterey Jack, the two little chipmunks can be seen both in their soft fur and with clothes.
They’re in love with the cute squirrel Clarice, an artist of the Acorn Club. In the cartoon “Two chips and a miss” Chip ‘n’ Dale make several attempts to win over Clarice, who will consider them equal.
Chip and Dale appear in “Chip ‘n’ Dale Rescue Rangers” as protagonists of Disney World Quest: Magical Racing Tour, in the “Kingdom Hearts” series, they live in Disney Castle.
They also starred in “Mickey Mouse Works” and “Mickey’s Christmas Carol” and in the film “Once upon a studio”. The two cheerful chipmunks Chip and Dale are at Disney Parks.
