The classic and refined beauty of Italian Bonaveri mannequins highlights the precious dresses displayed in the exhibition “Fashioning Singapore and the World” dedicated to the fashion designer Andrew Gn, at the Museum of Asian Civilizations of Singapore from May 27th to September 17th.
In a journey between Orient and Occident, tradition and modernity, the exhibition curated by Jackie Yoong, presents artistic and luxurious creations characterized by brocades, silk, glass beads, sequins, intricate jacquards, prints, and elaborate embroideries that find inspiration from art, fashion, literature, films and from the Singaporeans cultural traditions of Andrew Gn. Fabrics and decorative arts are combined between them to create clothes that are true works of art. The exhibition “Fashioning Singapore and the World” also displays a collection of objects such as Chinese porcelain, Indonesian batiks, Indian fabrics, Iznik ceramics.
After studying art and fashion at prestigious schools in London, New York, and Milan, Andrew Gn works as an assistant to the famous fashion designer Emanuel Ungaro. In 1995 he opens a fashion atelier in Paris and in 2007 the stylist is the winner of the President’s Design Award; his models were also shown at the Paris Fashion Week.
Nature: flowers, butterflies, and corals painted and printed on dresses, are the subjects for his creations. In the exhibition at an interactive space “Fashion Try-On” through multimedia technology, visitors will be able to collect the motifs of the artist Andrew Gn’s creations such as the flowers, butterflies, and corals that can be used to create a personalized outfit.
In the magical atmosphere of the Museum, Bonaveri mannequins from the collection Schlappi 2200 in matte black color, are stunning in their floral, ornamental, and sparkling clothes. Expressive and statuesque, sensual in their harmonious and elegant poses, Bonaveri mannequins have conquered the greatest fashion designers of the world in the most important fashion exhibitions.

La classica e raffinata bellezza dei manichini Italiani Bonaveri da risalto a preziosi abiti nella mostra “Fashioning Singapore and the world” dedicata allo stilista Andrew Gn, al Museo delle Civiltà asiatiche di Singapore dal 27 Maggio al 17 Settembre.
In un viaggio tra Oriente e Occidente, tradizione e modernità, nella mostra a cura di Jackie Yoong, artistiche e lussuose creazioni caratterizzate da broccati, seta, perline, paillettes, jacquard intricati, stampe e ricami elaborati trovano ispirazione nell’arte, moda, letteratura, cinema e nelle tradizioni culturali singaporiane di Andrew Gn. La mostra “Fashioning Singapore and the world” presenta anche una collezione di oggetti come porcellane cinesi, batik indonesiani, tessuti indiani, ceramiche Iznik.
Andrew Gn dopo avere studiato arte e moda presso le prestigiose scuole di moda di Londra, New York, Milano, lavora come assistente del famoso disegnatore di moda Emanuel Ungaro. Nel 1995 apre un atelier di moda a Parigi e nel 2007 lo stilista è vincitore del President’s Design Award, i suoi modelli sono presenti anche alla settimana della Moda di Parigi.
La natura: fiori, farfalle, coralli dipinti e stampati sugli abiti sono i soggetti delle sue creazioni. Nella mostra in uno spazio interattivo “Fashion Try-On” attraverso la tecnologia multimediale, i visitatori potranno raccogliere i motivi delle creazioni dell’artista Andrew Gn come fiori, farfalle e coralli che potranno utilizzare per creare un abito personalizzato.
Nella magica atmosfera del Museo, i manichini del brand Bonaveri nella collezione Schlappi 2200 in colore nero opaco splendono sotto i riflettori nei loro abiti floreali, ornamentali e scintillanti. Espressivi e statuari, e sensuali nelle loro pose armoniose ed eleganti, i manichini Bonaveri hanno conquistato i più grandi stilisti del mondo nelle più importanti esposizioni di moda.
