“GENOVA SUI MARI DEL MONDO: THE OCEAN RACE”

La 14° Edizione della The Ocean Race arriverà a Genova il 25 Giugno; iniziata ad Alicante a Capo Verde  in Spagna, per oltre 32 mila miglia intorno al mondo, farà diverse tappe.
La regata oceanica è una gara sportiva a vela, le imbarcazioni di classe VO 65 innovative Imoca 60 attraversano i mari, le premiazioni si svolgeranno a Porto Antico a Genova.
Il Presidente della Regione Liguria ha detto: “Genova sarà regina dei mari ed è pronta a mostrare a tutti la sua bellezza”. La manifestazione è patrocinata dalla Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri, un evento sportivo dove saranno presentate anche tematiche ambientali e iniziative per la difesa dei mari.
In occasione di “The grand finale” verrà presentata a Genova, la carta dei diritti degli oceani, consegnata all’Assemblea delle Nazioni Unite a New York.
La cultura, il turismo, le manifestazioni si potranno conoscere nella camera immersiva allestita nella “Business Lounge”, il Villaggio “Ocean Live Park” nel Waterfront di Levante, ospiterà diverse attività con la Mascotte “Lupo di mare”.
Dal 1973 The Ocean Race è un evento unico dove partecipano i più grandi velisti del mondo, la prima edizione è “The Whitbread Round The World Race”.
A Genova arriveranno molte barche storiche e festeggeranno con la “Legends Regatta”, tra queste all’Ocean Live Park, ci sarà la Palinuro, la “nave goletta” della Marina Italiana, si potrà salire a bordo  e provare come si vive a bordo in occasione della Race Boat Experience.
Tra gli eventi in programma si è svolto il Campionato Mondiale del Pesto dove i partecipanti hanno preparato il pesto migliore.
La cucina genovese rappresenta una cultura semplice, genuina e antica che risale ai tempi della Repubblica Marinara, provate la focaccia genovese, i gnocchi al pesto, i pansoti in salsa di noci o salsa di pinoli, la torta pasqualina, la farinata, le verdure ripiene, la cima, il panettone panarello con canditi e pinoli.
Con i suoi splendidi palazzi storici del XVI e XVII secolo, il Salone Nautico, i suoi carruggi, la cucina, e quell’aria di mare che sembra riportare indietro a tempi lontani quando Genova, “La Superba”, ha da sempre avuto grandi navigatori tra questi Cristoforo Colombo.
La vela è uno sport che fa entrare in contatto con la Natura, è un momento di silenzio quando il mare è calmo ma può diventare una grande forza quando il vendo soffia, le onde si alzano.
La regata transoceanica “The Ocean Race” con  i mari colorati di barche a vele sarà uno spettacolo unico di sensazioni ed emozioni, un evento sportivo che richiede impegno, professionalità, passione.

Palinuro. Nave della Marina Italiana/Ship of the Italian Navy

The 14th Edition of The Ocean Race will arrive in Genoa on June 25th, started in Alicante in Cape Verde in Spain, for over 32 thousand miles around the world, and will make several stages.
The ocean regatta is a sailing sports race, the VO 65 innovative Imoca 60 class boats cross the seas, the awards will take place in Porto Antico in Genoa.
The President of the Liguria Region said: “Genoa will be the queen of the seas and is ready to show everyone its beauty”. The event is sponsored by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, a sporting event where environmental issues and initiatives for the defense of the seas will also be presented.
On the occasion of “The Grand Finale” will be presented in Genoa, the Charter of the Rights of the Oceans, delivered to the United Nations Assembly in New York.
Culture, tourism, and events can be known in the immersive room set up in the “Business Lounge”, the Village “Ocean Live Park” in the Levante Waterfront, which will host various activities with the mascot “Sea Wolf”.
Since 1973 The Ocean Race is a unique event in which the greatest sailors in the world participate, the first edition is “The Whitbread Round The World Race”.
Many historic boats will arrive in Genoa and will celebrate with the “Legends Regatta”, among them at the Ocean Live Park, there will be the Palinuro, the “schooner ship” of the Italian Navy, you can get on board and try how to live on board on the occasion of the Race Boat Experience.
Among the scheduled events took place the World Pesto Championship where the participants prepared the best pesto.
The Genoese cuisine represents a simple, genuine, and ancient culture that dates back to the times of the Maritime Republic, try the Genoese focaccia, gnocchi with pesto, pansoti in walnut sauce or pine nut sauce, Easter cake, farinata, stuffed vegetables, top, panarello panettone with candied fruit and pine nuts.
With its splendid historic buildings of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, the Boat Show, its alleys, the kitchen, and that sea air that seems to take back to distant times when Genoa, “La Superba”, has always had great navigators among these Christopher Columbus.
Sailing is a sport that brings you into contact with Nature, it is a moment of silence when the sea is calm but can become a great force when the sell blows, the waves rise.
The transoceanic regatta “The Ocean Race” with the colorful seas of sailboats will be a unique spectacle of sensations and emotions, a sporting event that requires commitment, professionalism, and passion.
