Cement Tile History
Cement tiles have a long history in the design world, first appearing in Catalonia in the 1850s. Their beauty and versatility was immediately noticed when they made their debut at the Paris International Exposition in 1867. Because of their beauty and versatility, it did not take long for cement tiles to spread throughout Europe. Their production required no energy expenditure, which meant they did not need to be baked or fired in a kiln, making them more desirable over time. These durable tiles quickly made their way into the world’s grandest palaces and ornate buildings, used on both floors and walls.
The French eventually brought the process to Vietnam, which has high-quality cement, ideal for such a delicate process. Today, cement tiles are also produced in Morocco, Spain, and Mexico, yet the precision and quality of the Vietnamese remain unmatched.
Cement tiles can be found all over the world in both private and public spaces, the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul and the Palace of Versailles to name a few. Their durability makes them an ideal candidate for a tile that lasts for generations.

Three souls united to generate a sophisticated Cement Tile Collection with a modern and current flavor – Endless solutions to cover Walls and Floors with 13 color variants – and 5 designs – Lut – Throne – Hi Fi – Tucson – Ilio
As early as 2019, LILI CEMENT TILE met and began collaborating with Milan-based ORIGINAL DESIGNERS Studio 6R5 NETWORK to develop the new ideas that led to the conception of the MILANO STYLE Collection now presented in 2022
A concept that combines the naturalness of materials with the complexity of technology and innovation;
Textures and Colors that live and intersect to modulate the forms and backdrops of new Architectures in the World, Live Motive and Inspiration of MILANO STYLE COLLECTION to match the desire of people to live in new spaces dynamically.
The world is increasingly an intelligent planet expands networked by seeking the intelligences and creativity that weld and unite it, self-empowering it.
A window is opening that we are still struggling to understand that will soon make possible the union of various cultures, beautiful various continents

Lili Cement Tile in Marton – Philadelphia – NJ – created by Simon Katan has been active for 20 years in the production of Cement Tile in the United States.

Storia delle Piastrelle di cemento
Le piastrelle di cemento hanno una lunga storia nel mondo del design; apparse per la prima volta in Catalogna negli anni ’50 dell’Ottocento. La loro bellezza e versatilità si notò subito quando fecero il loro debutto all’Esposizione Internazionale di Parigi nel 1867. Grazie alla loro bellezza e versatilità, non ci volle molto perché le piastrelle di cemento si diffondessero in tutta Europa. La loro produzione non richiedeva dispendio energetico, il che significava che non avevano bisogno di essere cotti in forno, rendendoli più appetibili nel tempo. Queste piastrelle resistenti si sono rapidamente fatte strada nei palazzi più grandiosi e negli edifici decorati del mondo, utilizzate sia sui pavimenti che sulle pareti.
I francesi alla fine hanno portato il processo in Vietnam, che ha cemento di alta qualità, ideale per un processo così delicato. Oggi le cementine vengono prodotte anche in Marocco, Spagna e Messico, tuttavia la precisione e la qualità dei vietnamiti rimangono impareggiabili.
Le piastrelle di cemento si possono trovare in tutto il mondo sia in spazi privati che pubblici, il Grand Bazaar di Istanbul e la Reggia di Versailles, solo per citarne alcuni. La loro durata li rende un candidato ideale per una piastrella che dura per generazioni.
