A professional journalist and writer, Victoria was born in Moscow, Russia. Her father was a famous nonfiction filmmaker, and her mother was a journalist and managed her own PR agency. Back in Moscow, Victoria worked for several Russian federal newspapers as an editor, as well as a correspondent for American and European magazines, and volunteered as a Women's rights social worker and had her own journalists’ classes. She is a member of the International Federation of Journalists and a recipient of numerous honors. She moved to the US with her family more than 15 years ago, and still follows her passion and work as a journalist, an educator and as a community activist in her neighborhood in New York, NY. Her main areas of interest are American history and culture; she loves to write about successful immigrant stories.
