Harvey has been an undeniable disaster upon Texas, and New Yorkers are reacting as fast as possible to assist their brothers and sisters with various necessities. In particular, in Long Island, our correspondent and author Suzanne Piccolo, who is the District Governor for the Nassau County and Bermuda Lions, has organized a collection that is being extremely successful.
On Monday, September 4th, a 53-foot truck will be coming to the Cop Shop in Massapequa to pick up what is being collected by The Nassau County Lions and since the truck is so huge, Suffolk Lions will be bringing their items too. The truck was donated by a good friend of Suzanne from the Phoenix Charity in Houston. Tracie Mann, who is not only a Lion but rescues people from Human trafficking. Please read more about the Phoenix Charity Foundation…
The Lions are still collecting the following items: First Aid Kits, Bleach, Brooms, Mops, Gloves, Blankets, Gift Cards, Small Refrigerators, Diapers Adult and Children, Non, Perishable Food, Socks, Dog and Cat Food, Glucerna, First Aid, Bags, Toiletries Cleaning Supplies, Generators, Water Pumps, Buckets, Waders, Ropes, Hurricane lamps, or any similar items.
If choosing to donate items, please drop them off between the hours of 8am and 6pm to:
