NIAF Members Dr. Gilda Rorro and her daughter, Dr. Mary Rorro, attended the Conference of Presidents of Major Italian American Organizations on June 7, 2025, at the Italian American Museum in New York City in the heart of Little Italy. Basil Russo, President of COPOMIAO, appointed Dr. Gilda Rorro as the National Associate Vice President for the Continued Creation and Promotion of the Italian Heritage School Curriculum of COPOMIAO. Dr. Gilda Rorro and her Curriculum Development Committee of the New Jersey Italian Heritage Commission (NJIHC) created a dynamic documentary video based on the life and contributions of Mother Cabrini. The debut of the video took place at the conference and will also be shown at the Mercer County Italian American Festival in Hamilton, New Jersey, on October 4-5, 2025, and at the NJIHC Annual Conference at Rutgers University Student Center on October 25, 2025. This video is the first in a series of five to be produced this year. 
Dr. Mary Rorro, Dame of the Royal House of Savoy, and Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre also participated in the event by performing her original song “Mommy, You Are My Gift” in tribute to her Italian-American mother, Dr. Gilda Rorro. They are pictured with Congressman Michael Rulli, Josephine Maietta, and Basil Russo, President of COPOMIAO, as well as additional members of COPOMIAO.
