La Next Exhibition e Mattel Inc. presentano la mostra “Barbie: a Cultural Icon Exhibition” dal 13 Settembre al 19 Gennaio presso Next Museum a Milano.
La mostra organizzata da Next Exhibition, agenzia di produzione mondiale per eventi internazionali e Mattel Inc. conosciuta in tutto il mondo per giocattoli e intrattenimento, dedicano questa mostra a Barbie per festeggiare i suoi sessantacinque anni, la collezione raccoglie più di 150 bambole con abiti e accessori, un viaggio nella moda degli anni ’60 – ’70 – ’80 – ’90 e 2000. Ci saranno anche scenari di lifestyle Barbie, dalla Dreamhouse alla macchina decapottabile rosa.
L’esposizione è interessante perché le bambole Barbie rappresentano la creatività della moda, la cultura di diverse epoche ma soprattutto hanno dato momenti di gioia a molte ragazzine che poi diventando adulte, alcune di loro hanno conservato la loro Barbie e grande interesse per i collezionisti.
“BARBIE: FAMOSA BAMBOLA MANNEQUIN”
Nel 1945 a El Segundo vicino a Los Angeles, California, una piccola fabbrica realizza accessori per bambole, è la Mattel conosciuta in tutto il mondo per i suoi bellissimi giocattoli e soprattutto per la Barbie.
La prima ” Bild Lilli” è una bambolina graziosa, un’eroina di fumetti per un giornale tedesco “Bild Zeitung”, disegnata da Max Weissbradt nel 1955.
Viaggiando in Europa, una signora americana, Ruth Handler vede in una vetrina di un negozio di giocattoli, la bambola che stava cercando e decide di proporla alla Mattel.
Nel 1959 Barbie è presentata alla Fiera del giocattolo di New York con un costume da bagno bianco e nero in jersey, occhiali da sole e sandalini.
Un sorriso luminoso, uno sguardo attraente, Barbie diventa famosa per bambini e adulti, così le sue amiche, la dolce e rossa Midge, la bionda e birichina Casey, la brunetta Teresa, l’esotica Christie, le belle Francie, Twiggy, Stacey e Skipper.
Queste bamboline rappresentano molti tipi di donne attraverso i diversi lavori, Barbie e le sue amiche sono l’indefinibile bellezza del mondo femminile.
“BARBIE THE FABOLOUS VINTAGE FASHION SHOW”
Il video “The Fabolous Vintage Fashion Show” è dedicato alle meravigliose bambole Barbie, una sfilata di bamboline mannequins con splendidi vestiti, bellissime scenografie e melodiche canzoni.

Barbie e le sue amiche sul palco cantano alcune canzoni dall’ album “Beyond the pink”, “Oltre il rosa” realizzato dalla Sony Wonder Music, canzoni dance, musica trascinante e allegra: “The girl of today”, “One love, true love”, “From the jump”, “You are the Universe”, “Think Pink”.

“BARBIE: A CULTURAL ICON EXHIBITION” IN MILAN
The Next Exhibition and Mattel Inc. present the “Barbie, a Cultural Icon Exhibition” exposition from 13th September to 19th January at the Next Museum in Milan. It’s organized by Next Exhibition, a global production agency for international events, and Mattel Inc. known worldwide for toys and entertainment, dedicated to Barbie, this exhibition celebrates her sixty-five years.
The collection includes more than 150 dolls with clothes and accessories, a journey into the fashion of the ‘60/ ‘70/ ‘80/ ‘90/ 2000 years. There will also be Barbie lifestyle scenarios, from the Dreamhouse to the pink convertible car.
The exhibition is interesting because Barbie dolls represent fashion creativity, and the culture of different times, but above all, they have given moments of joy to many little girls who, when becoming adults, still keep their own Barbie, and they retain a great interest from the collectors.
“BARBIE, FAMOUS MANNEQUIN DOLL”
In 1945, a small factory made accessories for dolls in El Segundo near Los Angeles, California, it’s Mattel, known worldwide for its beautiful toys, especially Barbie.
The first “Bild Lilli” is a nice little doll, a comic book heroine for the German newspaper “Bild Zeitung” designed by Max Weissbradt in 1955.
Traveling in Europe, an American lady Ruth Handler sees the doll she was looking for, in a toy shop window and decides to propose the doll to Mattel. In 1959, Barbie was presented at the New York Toy Fair, wearing a black and white jersey swimsuit, sunglasses, and sandals.
With a bright smile, and an attractive look, Barbie is enjoyed by children and adults as well as her friends, the sweet red-head Midge, the blonde cheeky Casey, the brunette Teresa, the exotic Christie, the beautiful Francie, Twiggy, Stacey, and Skipper.
These mannequin dolls represent many kinds of women through different jobs; Barbie and her friends are the indefinable beauty of the female world.
