IAWA’s 27th Anniversary Readings & Special Events

The Italian American Writers Association is celebrating its 27th Anniversary. Since 1991, IAWA has given voice to writers through its literary series every 2nd Saturday of the month. Readings begin with an Open Mic: IAWA-East is held even months at Sidewalk Café and IAWA-West continues at Cornelia Street Café on odd months.

WHO: Elizabeth Primamore’s latest publication is Shady Women: Three Short Plays, published by Upper Hand Press. Her most recent play, The Professor and Michael Field, was a semifinalist for the Eugene O’Neill National Playwrights Conference. She is a recipient of the Bernard and Shirley Handel Playwright Award. Primamore‘s plays Just Fine and Blank were produced in HB Studio’s Ten Minute Play Festivals. In July 2016, she was a fellow at The Virginia Center for the Creative Arts.
Stephanie Laterza is a SU-CASA 2018 award recipient from the Brooklyn Arts Council and the author of the acclaimed legal thriller, The Boulevard Trial. Her poetry chapbook, The Psyche Trials, is forthcoming from Finishing Line Press. Her poetry and short fiction have appeared in L’Éphémère ReviewFirst Literary Review-EastOvunque SiamoA Gathering of the TribesNewtown LiteraryThe Nottingham Review, and Obra/Artifact.
