All’Italiana, an Italian theater company active in Boston, United States, has organized an event for Saturday, 28 March, dedicated to the great voices of Italian women writers, with which it will close Women’s History Month, entitled “Open Mic Night: Women Authors Edition”.
The initiative will be held at SomArt at the Hive, at 7.30 pm and will feature the words of Renaissance poets, such as Vittoria Colonna and Gaspara Stampa, and contemporary figures, such as Grazia Deledda, Alda Merini, Elena Ferrante, and Dacia Maraini. But that’s not all. The panorama is, in fact, very rich and fascinating. The event, organized in partnership with the Consulate General of Italy in Boston and with the Comites of the US city, allows anyone who wants to bring a passage to read – whether in Italian, English, or another language – by their favorite Italian author. Then it will be possible to read it, recite it, or simply listen to it. Admission is free. (aise)

L’iniziativa si terrà presso il SomArt at the Hive, alle ore 19.30 e vedrà protagoniste le parole di poetesse rinascimentali, come Vittoria Colonna e Gaspara Stampa, e di figure contemporanee, come Grazia Deledda, Alda Merini, Elena Ferrante e Dacia Maraini. Ma non solo. Il panorama è infatti molto ricco e affascinante.
L’evento, organizzato in partnership con il Consolato Generale d’Italia a Boston e con il Comites della città statunitense, consente a chiunque voglia di portare un brano da leggere – che sia in italiano, in inglese o in altra lingua – della propria autrice italiana preferita. Poi sarà possibile leggerlo, recitarlo o semplicemente ascoltarlo. L’ingresso è libero. (aise
